About Sense-Ability
Who is behind Sense-Ability?
Anna Lickley
Sense-Ability is a training business set up in 2004 and is run by Anna Lickley. Before running Sense-Ability, Anna trained as a Fast-track graduate trainee with Scope and spent several years working in the Access Unit for Deaf and Disabled students at the University of Bristol. She is profoundly deafened and, since going deaf in her early 20s and experiencing other acquired impairments, she is very keen on promoting a common-sense and practical approach to ensuring full access and equality for disabled people.
Anna holds a teaching qualification and has several years experience teaching British Sign Language and providing Deaf Awareness and Disability Equality Training. She is interested in BSL linguistics.
