Raising Awareness in England and Wales |

This course will be adapted to meet the needs of our clients. For example, if you work in the education sector we may give examples of discrimination and scenarios that could occur in a college, university or school. This can be held as a full day (5 hours + 1 hour lunch break) or as a half day course (3 hours). Below are recent comments made about our deaf awareness training: "Found this really helpful. Half Day Course Objectives - trainees will: - Work
on making their commication skills with deaf people more effective Full Day Course Objectives - as half day plus: - Discuss the barriers deaf people face in different
scenarios If your group are interested in acheiving a nationally recognised qualification in deaf awareness then CACDP unit K101 - Deaf and Deaf Blind Awareness can be provided. The course requires 10 hours of tuition and is assessed externally via a written exam. If delegates taking this unit also complete unit T101 - Communication Tactics with Deaf and Deafblind people then they will acheive the full CACDP Level 1 Certificate in Developing Awareness and Communication with Deaf and Deafblind People.
