I’m Jane Pendry from Sense-Ability Solution Focused Hypnotherapy & Coaching.
I have overcome many challenges over the years and the most successful methods I have personally experienced for resolving anxiety, depression, trauma and self-limiting beliefs have been Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Their impact on my life has been so significant, I trained as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, NLP Practitioner and Coach so I could help other people become the best version of themselves too.
The key to a balanced and fulfilled life is to embrace your authentic self by processing and resolving what you can’t change from the past, accepting and embracing who you are now, and defining and then realising your best hopes for the future.
I have witnessed my clients identify their true needs and successfully move their lives forward, whether its overcoming a specific issue such as a fear of spiders or creating and achieving ambitious career or personal goals over a few weeks. See my client Testimonials here.
I trained with renowned NLP trainer Ewan Mochrie at Inspire 360 as an NLP Practitioner and Coach. Using the skills and knowledge gained, I can support you to overcome phobias, anxieties, depression, negative habits and addictions, and behavioural habits (anger, rumination, fearfulness).
I have also undertaken specialist training in helping clients recover from coercive control, gaslighting and bullying from nationally recognised Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist David Kilmurray of the Kilmurray Life Centre. I can help and support survivors of domestic abuse, workplace bullying and boarding school syndrome, helping them to reclaim their authentic selves and to rebuild their lives.
My teaching, study skills, communications experience, storytelling skills and Neuro Linguistic Practitioner (NLP) all complement my recent professional training. I gained a Certificate in Solution Focused Brief Therapy with eminent SFBT Trainer, Elliot Connie, in August 2018, and my Diploma in Solutions Focused Hypnotherapy DSFH with Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training in December 2018. I gained a further Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma, HPD, in 2019 through CPHT.
Before starting Sense-Ability, I spent over 25 years in marketing and communications in the business-to-business and education sector, and was a primary school teacher at Brookland Junior School, Hampstead Garden Suburb for five years. I have a degree in English, Drama & Theatre Studies from Royal Holloway College and I am a qualified teacher with a PGCE in KS2/3 from Homerton College, Cambridge.
I am also a Senior Coach offering Solution Focused Team Coaching for SMEs, schools and charities with www.socius.ch
I am delighted to have been able to help many adults and children overcome acute phobias, generalised anxiety, social anxiety and irrational fears. I have helped relationships flourish by enabling clients to put negative experiences firmly in the past, helping them to stop destructive ruminating, obsessing or over-thinking.
My clients have stopped smoking and gambling and overcome embedded anxiety issues including generalised anxiety and OCD. The Solution Focused approaches I use have also helped many clients set and realise challenging personal or professional goals including a researcher planning and setting up a new complex clinical trial and a trainee mature teacher passing essential exams.
I have also had success supporting those with sensory processing issues so that they cope much better in a noisy, chaotic world.
I have helped clients with ME/CFS or other long term chronic illnesses to reduce their experience of chronic pain, pace themselves to maintain energy levels, and communicate more effectively with medical practitioners, improving their overall quality of life.
I have experience of supporting clients who have suffered childhood trauma as a result of early boarding, neglect or abuse. After a number of weeks of therapy, I have witnessed clients who were easily triggered by past traumas become more resilient, and better able to tackle challenges at work and in their personal lives. NB: It’s helpful if clients who have experienced childhood trauma have had some level of counselling where they have been heard and validated before seeking Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, but it is not essential.
I have even witnessed a young person with a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder resolving much of her profound trauma, without having to reveal the details of her past to me, through regular hypnotherapy sessions. She was subsequently offered an unconditional place to university.
Many of my clients overcome difficulties in a very short space of time, while for some with more embedded issues, progress may take several weeks or even months. The exceptional results I see are all down to neuroscience and the powerful combination of SFBT and hypnosis, NLP, Solution Focused Coaching and the belief and commitment of my clients.
As a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist I am fully accredited with the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapists, and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council, The Gold Standard accreditation accepted by doctors and insurers.
I am also accredited by the American Board of Neuro Linguistic Programming and the American Board of Hypnotherapy.
I am DBS checked and fully insured.
NB: I don’t promise miracles, although my clients report experiencing them often. I do not diagnose not claim to cure physical or mental illnesses diagnosed by a licensed medical practitioner. Rather, I offer complementary therapies that support or encourage natural healing processes, and give clients tools or processes that can support healing, resolution and positive change.
